Villada

A partnership that delivers luxury

In autumn 2024, Drama Queen renewed Villada’s brand identity and website. However, the collaboration began much earlier. This is a partnership that has lasted for years, during which Villada’s business has grown and transformed on many levels.

Villada is a Finnish company that combines carefully selected holiday villas with tailored travel solutions. Today, Villada is part of the Villada Group Oy, a company that specializes in premium and luxury accommodation as well as bespoke travel experiences.

When the collaboration between Villada and Drama Queen began in 2017, the client was working with multiple systems and technical environments. The overall digital setup was complex and inefficient. The partnership was launched with the goal of streamlining the digital business.

Premium-level website and technical solutions

The first project was to design Villada’s website – not only to be visually attractive but also to function as an efficient tool for managing bookings. The site integrates with several booking platforms. In addition to the visual identity and user interface, Drama Queen designed a custom admin panel for managing property data, availability, and pricing. A client portal, as well as payment and booking systems, were also developed.

“Everything we do must reflect what we stand for: quality, effortlessness, and ease. When booking premium villas, the website must convey trust and inspire people to turn their holiday dreams into reality,” explains Villada’s CEO, Tommi Lehtonen.

The collaboration continued with regular updates and maintenance until 2020, when something shook the entire travel industry nearly overnight: the COVID-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions that came with it.

The pandemic sparked new business

When the pandemic crisis hit, Villada reacted fast – with Drama Queen as its partner. As the situation unfolded, it became clear that people’s desire to spend time away from home had not disappeared. It was time to respond to this demand with Villada’s international-level expertise.

“Together with the client, we quickly created a new domestic travel service called Mökkivuokra (Cottage Finland). It was based on previous solutions but adapted entirely to a new business model. We built a system that supported instant bookings, direct payments, and flexible property management,” says Drama Queen’s Senior Developer Lauri Suoperä.

With the pandemic, domestic travel spending rose significantly. As restrictions gradually lifted, also international travelers began to show more interest in Finland. At the same time, the demand for luxury destinations grew – opening a new opportunity that would guide the next steps for Villada Group and the partnership.

From premium to nordic super-luxury

The next step was Arctic Signature, a brand focused on luxury travel. Alongside it emerged Hideout Villas, offering fully tailored travel experiences in Finland’s finest luxury villas for international guests. Drama Queen created the brand identity and website for Hideout Villas.

In the case of Hideout Villas, luxury doesn’t just mean villas, champagne, and restaurant bookings. The brand delivers individually designed travel experiences from start to finish – and those experiences can include almost anything imaginable.

From personal chauffeurs, private chefs and expert guides to on-site gear delivery and fulfilling even the smallest of wishes, everything is planned and executed with meticulous detail. Top-level quality, reliability and peace of mind must be reflected on the website itself, with every design and technical choice supporting the business and helping to fulfill the brand promise.

A deep partnership that builds opportunities

The relationship between Villada and Drama Queen is not just a series of isolated projects, but an ongoing partnership that has lasted for years. The websites are continuously updated and developed, and new challenges are tackled together.
